There was a bit of a Learning Curve to this web application, but that may have just been with inexperience with any accounting application.

I've used Wave for about 4 years. Wave is really user-friendly and easy to set up. It also lets you generate some simple reports such as your income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. I coordinate work for myself and several 7 independent contractors. This is probably the only product where I've actually read the Terms and Conditions they're fun to read.

So the flow is not there and it would be easy to correct with some attention to the actual functional user experience. Wave, on the other hand, is specifically tailored to the small business, and offers only features popular with those businesses.

Tax time became a nightmare and I felt embarrassed each waveap;s the accountant asked me questions I had no answers to. Very nice and reliable software. Again, small price to pay for a great software, and it's really super quick for me to enter my transactions as my way of reconciling my bank account. There's nothing I don't like, except for the fees that are charged when a client pays an invoice through Visa or direct deposit. The invoicing features were our biggest need and the program allows us to send the invoice, send reminders, mark paid and send receipts.

It would be nice if Wave included some intelligence to automatically match the receipt and transaction together, but for now, you need to manually merge each.

They only charge you for payroll maintenance. Plus, a lot of the additional features that offerings like Quickbooks or Xero feature, smaller businesses will not always utilize anyway, so Wave fits them perfectly. There are also some functions that could easily be automated that are not and so it starts to feel tedious. The invoicing and payment features automatically updates my books when I get paid, the bank connection means waeapps I only have to reconcile my account to make sure everything is ok.

It was awestruck to find this thing of beauty, feature for which I paid on other softwares for free, no strings attached.

While it imports most of the time, about once a month I have to wait a week before it integrates my bank transactions. The mobile invoice app is great for sending quick invoices or following up with clients on payment.
